Threatened & Endangered Plant and Animal Surveys
T&E Plant and Animal Surveys, Monitoring and Studies by staff biologists and scientists provide presence/absence surveys and baseline studies for Threatened and Endangered (T&E) plant and animal species as listed by the USFWS under the ESA and sensitive species according to BLM, USFS, and state agency requirements. Aerial and Terrestrial monitoring and surveys are also conducted to mitigate future disturbance of a number of species. Completed surveys, monitoring and studies have been conducted on the following species.

Reclamation Services and Invasive / Noxious Weed Management
Noxious and Invasive Weed Monitoring and Mapping services include large and small-scale site assessments of current and previous disturbances in relation to commercial development including wells, roads, pipelines and all associated right-of-ways (ROWs). Baseline information is gathered and analyzed from existing federal, state and county data and terrestrial surveys. Information for mapping obtained in field surveys may include invasive and noxious weed locations, distribution, diversity and density.
Noxious and Invasive Weed Control problems are an increasing concern for development within land administered by federal, state and county agencies as well as local municipalities. Our team of certified Commercial Pesticide Applicators with extensive knowledge of western botany can often help mitigate these issues.
Reclamation Planning and Monitoring is provided to clients as a key approach to cost effective development and long-term success as well as compliance with federal, state and county agencies. The goal of a reclamation plan is to eventually return disturbed surfaces to a properly functioning ecosystem with defined site specific and regional objectives. Plans incorporating monitoring for land restoration and erosion control are symbiotic in that the goals and objectives are met with decreased costs of future action in maintaining compliance.
National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Preparation and Support
Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) & Environmental Assessments (EA) services include guidance through the NEPA process beginning with the initial environmental issues during the design process and planning phase, preparation of the environmental analysis and report, interagency coordination, public notification and involvement, and ending with the Record of Decision.
Cultural Resource Service archeologists and specialists with significant experience in supporting, contributing to, or operating field surveys of cultural resource projects, including Environmental Assessments, Environmental Impact Statements, as well as, National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), Section 106 and State Historic Preservation Office compliance projects.
Land Use and Environmental Permitting services include management of required field studies and preparation of appropriate reports and/ or application preparation and submittals, including permits required by federal land management agencies, federal and state regulatory agencies, and county agencies.
Advanced GIS Mapping Services include the most up to date temporal and spatial mapping services available to provide visual support in all environmental and compliance documents.
Regulatory Compliance
Storm Water Management Plans (SWMP) and BMP Installation/Monitoring capabilities include site specific and regional erosion control assessments, planning, and Best Management Practice (BMP) design, installation and maintenance.
SPCC-Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plans involve strict adherence to federal, state and county regulations. Providing up to date inspections and managing the associated data is a time consuming process when operational locations are updated on a regular basis or new infrastructure is constructed. Managing this data as well as drafting site specific diagrams are necessary to maintain compliance with EPA regulations.
Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
Using portable GPS equipment with sub-foot accuracy in addition to current ESRI software, we collect detailed data that can be organized into maps, tables, and other formats for analysis and evaluation. Geographic databases and custom mapping are available for all types of projects.
